Method for decrease of water permeability of clay soils at making embankments includes measurement of natural soil dampness, building of dependence ofsoil density ?d on its dampness W after experimental compacting, reveal of optimal dampness, change of value of experimental compacting at building ?d=f(W) till achieving value of optimal dampness equal to natural one, with pouring soil layers and its conpacting with intensity of compacting effect corresponding by value to experimental compacting at building dependence of soil density of its dampness. Value of experimental compacting is changed towards its increase and decrease as well, and by results of compacting on graph ?d=f(W) one separates region of values of control parameters of density ?d and dampness W, at which one performs soil laying to embankment. Upper boundary of that region is curve of complete water saturation of soil pores, and the lower boundary is curve that goes through points characterizing maximal values of soil density for dependences ?d=f(W), obtained at change of value of experimental compacting.
