CAST IRON DISHWARE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THEREOF

The invention relates to the cast iron dishware manufacturing. A dish is made of a cup-like ingot from gray iron containing silicon in the amount not less than 4.1 wt.%. A protective coating from iron oxide Fe3O4 is formed on the ingot surface. A method for manufacturing cast iron dishware includes casting of gray iron with content of silicon not less than 4.1 wt.% for obtaining cup-like ingot. Finishing operations are preformed and graphitizing annealing is carried out at least twice under the temperature of 680-800 DEGREE C for 0.5-1.0 hour with following air cooling to achieving gray annealing colour. Due to the improvement the material properties, geometric parameters and shape of dish are stabilized, and adhesive strength of oxide film with metal is increased that enhances coating corrosion resistance against organic acids and operation age.
