FIELD: metallurgy.;SUBSTANCE: cast iron dishware is implemented in the form of dish-shaped casting, made of gray cast iron, on the surface of which it is formed protective coating made of ferric oxide Fe3O4. Method of cast iron dishware manufacturing includes foundring of gray cast iron, removal of ingate and tearing, chipping, grinding, sandblasting of casting and forming on casting protective coating made of ferric oxide Fe3O4 be means of its heating and immersion into oil. At foundring of gray cast iron in content of charge it is introduced silicon in the number not less then 4.1% in proportion to mass of cast iron dishware. After grinding it is implemented, at least two times, graphitizing annealing of casting at temperature 680800C during 0.51.0 hour with further air cooling till achieving of grey oxide tint.;EFFECT: providing of stability of material properties, geometrical parameters and form of dishware, and also in increasing of bond resistance of oxide film to metal.;3 cl, 5 ex
