Supporting structure for curved envelope geometries in building, has support elements combined to form polygons and comprising longitudinal axis, where cross section of elements normal to axis has relative twist angle of zero degree
The structure (8) has support elements (4) combined to form 4 to 6 sided polygons, which span envelope geometry of a building and enclose a planar surface element (5). The support elements form a common node region (3). The support elements comprise a longitudinal axis that extends in a straight line between another two node regions and runs parallel to an imaginary intersection line of surface element planes, where cross section of the support elements normal to the longitudinal axis has a relative twist angle of 0 degree along the entire longitudinal axis of the support element. An independent claim is also included for a method for providing a supporting structure for curved envelope geometries in buildings.
