Procedure for the realization of inserts in boards and board provided with said inserts. The procedure includes the realization of a hole in a sheet or solid board in which a fragment of replacement sheet is placed, glued, pressed of said sheet, surface sanding and finishing treatment. The board comprises a grain plate insert, orientation, texture or color other than the original sheet. It is applicable to the manufacture and decoration of veneered panels.
