The use of Gefitinib (IRESSA) in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of cancer in a resistant or non-responding patient to conventional kinase inhibitor therapy, wherein the medication comprises an amount of Gefitinib between 500 mg and 3,000 mg, which overcomes the resistance of TKI and where the medication is for administration at a time interval selected from the group consisting of once a week and twice a week.
