Non-tumorigenic stable, human bronchial and liver epithelial cell lines areprovided wherein the cell lines are capable of expressinghuman cytochrome P450 genes which have been inserted into the cell lines. Alsoprovided am methods and kits for identifying potentialmutagens, cytotoxins, carcinogens, chemotherapeutic and chemo-preventiveagents utilizing these cell lines.
