The invention relates to a night vision system wherein the surroundings are captured by means of a capturing device (1) and are represented on a display (5, 6). The invention is characterised in that said system comprises a pulsed light source (2) which is used to illuminate the surroundings; a first shot is captured during the light pauses of the pulsed light source (2); a second shot is captured during the light pulses of the pulsed light source (2), the night vision system comprises a subtreating device which is used to establish the difference between the first shot and the second shot and the established difference is represented on the display (5, 6).
