NON INVASIVE METHOD TO EVALUATE A PROGNOSTIC INDEX IN MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION

A non invasive method to evaluate a prognostic index for cardiovascular death and heart failure is based on the data knowledge of the mean 24 hour heart rate (m24hHR), the mean 24 hour diastolic blood pressure (m24hDBP) and the patient age (y) according to the formula PI = (220-y) - m24hHR + m24hDBP PI index is used to identify, in patients with myocardial infarction, the risk class for cardiovascular death and heart failure which results being as higher as lower the PI value is.
