Disclosed is a photoelectrode for dye-sensitized solar cells which enables to surely obtain with good reproducibility a dye-sensitized solar cell which is capable of obtaining high photoelectric conversion efficiency even when a plastic support is used as a light-transmitting support for a light-transmitting substrate and also capable of maintaining the high photoelectric conversion efficiency even when the amount of incident light is varied. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a photoelectrode for dye-sensitized solar cells, and a dye-sensitized solar cell. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a photoelectrode for dye-sensitized solar cells wherein a photoelectric conversion layer, which contains two kinds of semiconductor particles having different average particle diameters and a sensitizing dye, is arranged on a transparent conductive layer of a light-transmitting substrate which is obtained by forming the transparent conductive layer on a light-transmitting support. This method comprises a step for pressing a coating film, which is formed on the transparent conductive layer by using an aqueous paste not containing a binder and an organic solvent, but containing the two kinds of semiconductor particles having different average particle diameters.
