A new ligand capable of imparting superior stability in hydroformylation, a catalyst system comprising the new ligand, rhodium and a phosphorous-based compound, and a method for hydroformylation of a mixed olefin using the catalyst system are provided. A hydroformylation catalyst system is formed of an inorganic amine comprising a rhodium catalyst, a phosphorous-based compound and transition metals of VIB group. The phosphorous-based compound has 10 to 100 times of moles with respect to rhodium metal. The inorganic amine has 3 to 10 times of moles with respect to rhodium metal. The inorganic amine is selected from the group consisting of ammonium dichromate, ammonium chromate, ammonium molybdate, ammonium dimolybdate, ammonium heptamolybdate, ammonium phosphomolybdate, ammonium tungstate, and ammonium metatungstate. In a method for producing aldehyde with one more carbon number by reacting a mixed olefin with hydrogen and carbon monoxide, a method for producing aldehyde is characterized in that a hydroformylation catalyst system formed of an inorganic amine comprising a rhodium catalyst, a phosphorous-based compound and transition metals of VIB group is used.
