Part of a sports shoe (1) has a wall with two layers of plastics material (2, 4), the second (4) being transparent or translucent. The layer (2) of first material contains a decoration (3) and has a smooth, concave or convex surface in the decoration zone, including a small hollow part for forming the decoration in the thickness of the first layer. The second material at least partially covers the decoration and penetrates into the hollow part, leaving it visible and protected. Independent claims are included: (1) a skiing boot with a part (1) as above; and (2) a corresponding method for decorating a sports shoe (1), involving: (a) injection molding the first plastics material (2), to form a layer with a hollow decoration (3) as above; and (b) injecting the second, transparent or translucent plastics material (4), which penetrates into and at least partially covers the hollow part of the decoration.
