FIRE-ROLLER FOR HEATING FURNACE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A method of manufacturing a fire resistant roller for a heating furnace, which can secure a margin due to thermal expansion and contraction of the heat resistant tires and the cater when transferring a casting slab within the heating furnace by forming a predetermined spacer between heat resistant tires and a caster during manufacture of a roller, is provided. A fire resistant roller for a heating furnace, which supports a heated casting slab, comprises: a rotatable internal shaft(110) including an internal pipe for receiving cooling water that cools a shaft; heat resistant metal tires(120) fixed onto the internal shaft and rotated together with the shaft; anchor means(130) which are fixed onto the internal shaft in such a manner that the anchor means are radially projected outward between the inside of a radius of the tires and a pair of the tires; a caster(150) mounted on the periphery of the internal shaft and axially expanded between the pair of tires such that the caster is less expanded than the radius of the pair of tires; and a spacer mean(140) formed between the caster and the heat resistant tires, wherein a low expansion material such as silica, spinel(MgAl2O4), or a mixture thereof is used as a material for the heat resistant metal tires for protecting the internal shaft, and paraffin, paper, or a mixture thereof is used as a material for the spacer means that prevents generation of cracks due to expansion.
