EXTRACT OF BAMBOO STALKS OF WHICH THE CONSTITUENT PARTS ARE SIMILAR TO THEM OF BAMBOO SAP AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD OF IT

Provided is bamboo stalk extract, which has a composition of constitutional elements similar to the composition of bamboo sap, is obtained in a large scale, shows uniform quality, is amenable to storage at room temperature, and is useful for producing health-aid food and beverage and pharmaceuticals. The bamboo stalk extract is obtained by the method comprising the steps of: (1) collecting bamboo stalks and crushing the bamboo stalks into a size similar to a sawdust size; (2) adding water to the crushed product of step (1) in an amount corresponding to 5-10 times of the weight of the crushed product and carrying out hydrothermal extraction at a temperature of 90-98 deg.C for 2-4 hours; and (3) introducing the extract into a reduced-pressure concentrator to adjust the sugar content to 1.0-1.4 Brix at 75-85 deg.C.
