A computer system for automatically matching the requirements from a customer with the capabilities of a supplier of a complex product built up of modules. The system comprises a digital database with specifications for modules and comprises a classification scheme with a number of supply classes. Each supply class is associated with a range of complexity factors and ahs a class capacity factor expressing the supply capacity of the specific classes relative to the total supply capacity of the supplier. The system is configured to- determine a complexity factor dependent on the complexity of the product,- determine the specific supply class associated with the complexity factor,- determine a needed supply capacity for supplying the product,- compare whether the needed supply capacity is less than or equal to the capacity factor of the specific class and only to accept an order for supply of a product, if this is the case.
