A 5-inosinic acid-producing microorganism of Corynebacterium genus capable of increasing expression of a lipoamide dehydrogenase gene and a method for producing the 5-inosinic acid by using the same microorganism are provided to increase cell growth rate of the microorganism and produce a large quantity of 5-inosinic acid by inducing overexpression of the lipoamide dehydrogenase gene. The 5-inosinic acid-producing microorganism of Corynebacterium ammoniagenes CJLPD101(KCCM-10691P) is able to increase expression of lipoamide dehydrogenase gene compared to a mother strain, wherein the lipoamide dehydrogenase gene is derived from additional introduction from the cell outside or amplification of the endogenous lipoamide dehydrogenase gene; the mother strain is Corynebacterium ammoniagenes ATCC 6872, Corynebacterium ammoniagenes CJIP009(KCCM-10226), Corynebacterium ammoniagenes CJHK25(KCCM-10520) or Corynebacterium ammoniagenes CJHB100(KCCM-10330); and the Corynebacterium ammoniagenes CJLPD101(KCCM-10691P) is produced by transforming a 5-inosinic acid-producing microorganism with a vector containing the lipoamide dehydrogenase gene, p117-LPD. The 5-inosinic acid is produced by culturing Corynebacterium ammoniagenes CJLPD101(KCCM-10691P) in a medium.
