A constant velocity joint of a tripod for reducing friction is provided to reduce vibration of a vehicle by minimizing axial force and friction resistance of the constant velocity joint, and to improve riding comfort and quality of the vehicle by actively driving the constant velocity joint. Three track grooves(2) are formed in a tripod housing(3) with curve guide surfaces axially arranged at regular intervals, and a spider(5) with three trunnions(4) is installed in the track groove of the tripod housing. An inner roller(7), a needle roller(6) and an outer roller(8) are installed around the trunnions, and a projection(8b) and a retainer ring(9) are formed in an upper part of the outer roller to restrict displacement of the needle roller and the inner roller. Projections(8a,8c) for the needle roller and the inner roller are formed in a lower part of the outer roller. A spherical shape(4b) is formed in a lower part connected to a tapered conical shape(4a) of the trunnion, and a protruded part(4c) of the trunnion is contacted to a tapered cylinder shape of the inner roller.
