304H austenite stainless steel for spring

A steelmaking cost reduction type austenitic stainless steel for spring which enables an intermediate workpiece with a diameter of 5.5 mm to be manufactured without any problems, prevents disconnection of a wire during wire drawing, and hardly reduces strength of a drawn wire rod is provided. An austenitic stainless steel for spring comprises, by weight percent, 0.060 to 0.08% of C, 0.3 to 0.6% of Si, 1.2 to 1.4% of Mn, 0.035% or less of P, 0.01% or less of S, 18.3 to 18.9% of Cr, 8.3 to 8.7% of Ni, 0.5% or less of Mo, 0.7% or less of Cu, 0.02 to 0.05% of N and the balance of Fe and other inevitable impurities, wherein (C+N)^1/2 satisfies 0.28 to 0.35, the Mo has a content of 0.2 to 0.5%. The Cu has a content of 0.35 to 0.70%, and a Mo/Cu ratio satisfies 0.6 to 0.75.
