METHOD OF FORMING COVER-LAY FOR FLYING TAIL TYPE RIGID-FLEXIBLE PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD

A method for forming a coverlay of a flying tail type rigid-flexible printed circuit board is provided to reduce a process time and a process cost by aligning an attaching reference unit to a reference unit during the formation of the coverlay. A method for forming a coverlay of a flying tail type rigid-flexible printed circuit board includes the steps of: forming a circuit pattern and an eccentric mark on a ridge region and a flexible region and forming an attaching reference unit on a dummy region placed at a side surface of the flexible region except a terminal unit(S100); supplying the coverlay on which a window is formed to correspond to the attaching reference unit(S200); forming the coverlay on the circuit pattern of the flexible region except the terminal unit while aligning the attaching reference unit to the window(S300); and identifying an eccentric failure of the cover-lay with reference to the eccentric mark(S400).
