A preparation method of a cathode catalyst for fuel cell is provided to prepare a cathode catalyst with a high oxygen reducing reaction activity by increasing an amount of supporting of an active material onto a support, and a cathode electrode for fuel cell and a fuel cell system comprising the cathode catalyst prepared by the preparation method are provided. A cathode electrode(5) for fuel cell comprises: a conductive electrode substrate(51); and a catalyst layer(53) formed on the electrode substrate, wherein the catalyst layer is prepared by a preparation method of a cathode catalyst for fuel cell comprising a supporting step of supporting a metal salt precursor containing a metal selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and a combination thereof onto a carbon-based material, and a heat treatment step of heat-treating a carbon supported precursor prepared in the supporting step in an atmosphere of a nitrogen source gas selected from the group consisting of ammonia and acetonitrile. A fuel cell system comprises: at least one electricity-generating part comprising a separator, and a membrane-electrode assembly(131) including an anode electrode(3) and a cathode electrode(5) disposed oppositely to each other and a polymer electrolyte membrane(1) formed between the anode and cathode electrodes; a fuel supply part for supplying a fuel to the electricity-generating part; and an oxidizer supply part for supplying an oxidizer to the electricity-generating part.
