A mobile communication terminal and a method for selectively outputting voice sound of a short message service message according to movement speed are provided to easily report a reception state of the short message service message so that a response to a received signal can be easily transmitted. A mobile communication method comprises the following steps. A mode for processing a received signal is set according to movement speed of a mobile communication terminal(S100). When the signal is received, the movement speed of the mobile communication terminal is measured(S210, S230). A measured speed value is compared with a predefined value(S250). When the measured speed value is higher than the predefined value, a response to the received signal is selectively performed according to a voice command of a user(S300).
