A mouse equipped with a remote pointing type remote controller including a storage device is provided to enable a user to conveniently operate and control a connected device with the remote controller including the storage device through a remote pointing mode by separating the remote controller from the mouse. The remote controller is attached to a receiving part formed to one side of the mouse and is equipped with the storage device transceiving data with various information terminals through a connector(160) supporting a serial, parallel, and USB(Universal Serial Bus) interface. A signal receiver(120) receives an infrared signal from the remote controller. An image receiver(130) obtains a background image during the first signal receiving section not receiving the infrared signal from the remote controller and obtains a light image corresponding to the obtained infrared signal during the second signal receiving section receiving the infrared signal. An image processor(140) generates the corrected light image based on a difference between the light and background image. A pointing amount calculator(150) calculates a moving distance from the corrected light image.
