A pharmaceutical composition comprising an extract of a complex herb medicines is provided to decrease the total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol and increase the HDL-cholesterol in blood, lower the blood pressure, increase the expression of NOS protein in nervous system and blood vessel system and increase the maximum internal pressure of corpus spongiosum, thereby being effective for treating impotence caused by hyperlipidemia or hypertension without side effects. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating impotence caused by hyperlipidemia or hypertension comprises a hot water extract of a complex herb medicines consisting of Cornus officinalis, Lycil fructus, Rubus Coreanus, Cuscutae Semen and Schizandra chinensis baillon in a dried weight ratio of 8:8::4:4:1.
