METHOD FOR TESTING INSERT OF AN IN-HOLE TYPE ELASTIC WAVE CONE

A method for testing insertion of an in-hole type elastic wave cone is provided to perform the ground investigation work economically by precisely measuring the shear wave velocity. A method for testing insertion of an in-hole type elastic wave cone comprises a step of installing an elastic wave cone(10) in an insertion rod(52). The elastic wave cone(10) is inserted into a measurement location. When the elastic wave cone(10) reaches the measurement location, a cone insertion test device stops the operation thereof to cease the inserting work. Voltage is applied to a vibration generator(20) to generate vibrations, and a vibration receiver(22) detects the vibrations. The vibration receiver(22) converts the vibrations into the voltage.
