FIELD: manually controlled computing devices engineering.;SUBSTANCE: device for computing powers and roots of numbers contains two, perpendicularly intersecting, rulers with calibrated axes from center of intersection of middle lines and aperture along axes, a set of rectangular plates or their parts with pointer needle in one of straight angles of each plate, with groove and shelves to provide for sliding of side of plate above the side of previous plate, while for determining powers and roots of numbers in reciprocal-rotary dynamics of plate movement, linear movement of straight angle of first plate along the axis of ruler during sliding of its side relatively to limiter angle on another axis is connected to movements of straight angles to pointer needles of other plates axes of rulers.;EFFECT: increased obviousness of computations.;5 dwg
