FIELD: manufacture of heat-insulating building materials; methods of heat insulation of high-temperature surfaces of thermal units-glassmaking furnaces.;SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes delivery of insulating material through central hole of sprayer and binder through peripheral holes of this sprayer. Sprayer is located at distance of 0.8-1 m from surface to be insulated and binder is fed at angle of 5-10o to insulating material; ratio of insulating material to binder is selected between 55 and 45 mass-%. Used as insulating material is mixture of waste of ground mullite-silica fibers with vermiculite or perlite at ratio of 3:1.;EFFECT: avoidance of losses of heat-insulating material at retained high parameters of heat-insulating properties pertaining to heat conductivity coefficient.;2 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
