The roller cutter assembly (1), to trim the edges of a paper web (2), has a take-off (10) with at least one suction channel (11) to remove the cut strips (4). At least one calming roller (12) is at the entry side of the suction channel, towards the web edge cutter (9), to advance the cut strips in sections. The calming roller has a width (BW) at least the width of the cut edge strips.
