The device has an air pipe (3) through which air is conveyed into vicinity of a rear region (1), and running in an interior of a tunnel console (2). An outer tube (5) is connected to the air pipe, and a tubular air supply unit is mounted in direction of its longitudinal extent in the outer tube. The air flows out into the rear region of the tunnel console through an air outlet unit (9). The air outlet unit is adjusted in height relative to the tunnel console.
