The diagnosis process is for a cylinder (06) with at least one rubbercloth in a printing press (01), and a drive motor (09) for the cylinder. It involves monitoring the current of the drive motor and comparing it with at least one preset intended value, on the basis of which the properties of the rubbercloth are reported.
