Floor slab has edge profiles (32,34,36,38) on at least two mutually opposite edges of the rectangular contoured corner slab. Said edge profiles interact with adjoining edge profiles of adjacent slabs in such a way as to counteract any separation of adjacent slabs parallel to the laying plane. To do this, a joint (24) is formed from adjacent slabs which is intended to receive a curing joint material which, following curing, causes adjacent slabs to lock together perpendicularly to the laying plane.
