Linear actuating unit for e.g. stroke actuator, has retaining units arranged such that magnetic circuit guided via units and magnets has least magnetic resistance compared to rotor positions in path, when rotor resides in retaining position
The unit has a movable rotor with permanent magnets (1), and retaining units (7a, 7b) fixedly arranged in a surrounding of a path on which the rotor is movable. Magnetic field of the magnets exerts an attractive force on the retaining units. One of the retaining units is arranged in such a manner that a magnetic circuit (2) guided through one of the retaining units and the magnets has a least magnetic overall resistance in comparison with all possible positions of the rotor in the path, when the rotor resides in a desired retaining position.
