The method involves allocating interest points to two and/or three dimensional images of different modalities. Graphic primitives that characterize the assigned points are selectively superimposed in all the images, such that a visual allocation of the points and/or interest regions are effected between simultaneously displayed two and/or three dimensional images. Freely selectable textual specifications are assignable to the points. An independent claim is also included for an image system of a workstation for executing a method of displaying two and/or three dimensional images.
