The method involves recording of a three-dimensional (3D) and two-dimensional (2D) images of a scene using 3D- and 2D-cameras (200, 300), respectively. The cameras are connected with an image processing unit that processes the images. A scene region in the 3D image is selected based on distance information i.e. reduced distance to a monitoring camera (1), and the selected scene region is marked in the 2D image. The scene with the marked scene region is presented on a display unit. The mark is represented as cross. An independent claim is also included for a device for visualizing a scene.
