The system has a reflector (21) in a first beam path, controlled by an actuator, for deflecting a therapy or diagnosis beam (20) from a first source. A second beam path is provided for a fixation beam (25) from a second source. A central control unit uses the reflector to combine the two beams. The reflector has dichroitic properties such that it transmits the fixation beam and reflects the therapy beam. The beam source for generating the fixation beam is controlled in synchrony with the position of the moveable reflector.
