The structure has a front sided spoiler unit (14) supported by a support unit when a collision force is triggered in the spoiler unit. The support unit is designed as an engine compartment covering (24) with a stop section (48), and the spoiler unit comprises a profile that is closed at its peripheral side. The spoiler unit is fed or filled with a foam core (32), and comprises a stop unit (36) for the compartment covering, where the stop unit is arranged above a front-sided end of the covering. The stop section and the stop unit are arranged at a distance from each other.
