The structure has a transverse supporting unit (24) arranged at a front end of a body of an automobile e.g. passenger car, and supported at a rod arrangement by flexible connecting points. The transverse supporting unit is moved back along guiding units after drawing back the connecting points due to the corresponding high accidental force applications. The guiding units are formed by rods (34) of the transverse supporting unit, which co-operates with corresponding supporting rods (28) of the rod arrangement in a telescopic-manner.
