The creating medical investigation picture of liver (1) of a patient for investigating- and/or treatment of the liver, comprises injecting water soluble iodine containing solution into the liver, creating a three dimensional (3-D) image of the liver, depicting a catheter on the 3D image to dispense the water soluble iodine containing solution visible on the 3-D-image, and computing the 3-D images from a series of X-ray radiography images. The 3-D image and the generated radioscopy X-ray image are registered and are represented with one another. The creating medical investigation picture of liver (1) of a patient for investigating- and/or treatment of the liver, comprises injecting water soluble iodine containing solution into the liver, creating a three dimensional (3-D) image of the liver, depicting a catheter on the 3-D image to dispense the water soluble iodine containing solution visible on the 3-D-image, and computing the 3-D images from a series of X-ray radiography images. The 3-D image and the generated radioscopy X-ray image are registered and are represented with one another. The position of the catheter is detected by an electromagnetic orientation system. The detected position of the catheter is faded in the 3-D-image. The medical investigation picture is created during the implantation of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic stent shunts (TIPSS) (4). An independent claim is included for X-ray radiography plant for creating two-dimensional and three dimensional investigation picture of the liver of a patient.
