The sensor (1) has control units (12a, 12b) that are attached to detecting units (11a, 11b), respectively. Connections (19a, 19b) are loaded with a major sensor signal or with no sensor signal in case of a short circuit between the connections for measuring the sensor signals. The control units are provided with a high-side-driver or a low-side-driver, where the drivers are formed through transistors (14a, 14b). An independent claim is also included for an arrangement of a sensor for generating sensor signals.
