The backrest has a resting part, and another forward foldable resting part, which is detachably lockable by a locking mechanism with a retractable locking bolt (6) of the former resting part. The locking bolt protrudes from the former resting part provided in a usage position into a free space, in a functional position of the forward folded latter resting part. The locking bolt is prestressed in a direction of its outer functional position by a coil spring (24).
