A gas sensor has a housing feedthrough for a line connector, and a strip (3) and a strip receiver (4), where side accessible, partially free-standing, cooling fin-like units are provided for the housing feedthrough. The cooling fin-like units protrude in an axial extension at above double value of a wall thickness (16) of the cooling fin-like unit. The cooling-fin like units are designed as heat insulating units that are in the form of protective pipes (7) and are arranged at a distance to the strip.
