The device (1) has a fixed program memory (5), where a set of control processes are stored in the memory. A process controller (3) implements the control processes. Output processes with assigned conditions are stored in a variable program memory. A process monitoring device (8) is arranged for checking the condition and for starting the output processes which are associated with a mask value with a fulfilled condition. A data memory (6) stores process data which is produced during execution of the control processes. An independent claim is also included for a method for testing of a control device.
