Another bipolar transistor (Q7) is provided in a grounded-emitter circuit, where a base of the bipolar transistor (Q7) is coupled with a collector of the bipolar transistor (Q5). The bipolar transistor (Q7) has a collector that is coupled with a control input of an electronic component. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an electronic component with an output signal of a microprocessor.
