The circuit (4) has two power transistors (M1, M4) formed as n-channel MOSFETs that are respectively designed as a high-side switch for a load (3) and a battery circuit breaker. Load paths of the respective power transistors are switched between a port (BATT) and the load for a voltage source (2). A load path of a bipolar transistor (Q1) is provided between a gate terminal and a terminal of one of the power transistors. A base terminal of the bipolar transistor is connected with a capacitor (C2), which is charged by the power transistor.
