A procedure for the utilization of gaseous sources of carbon for the production of algae biomass, comprises passing input gas through a gas-tightly closed photo-bioreactor (4) by a closed gas cycle (5), until complete biotechnological conversion of carbon-dioxide takes place in a methane-oxygen-mixture and/or methane, where the input gas stays so long in the gas cycle, until so much of gaseous nutrients are used through plant cells contained in the fluid phase, and the gas led in the gas cycle is shielded completely by contact with ambient air and/or other unwanted gas components. The procedure for the utilization of gaseous sources of carbon for the production of algae biomass, comprises passing input gas through a gas-tightly closed photo-bioreactor (4) by a closed gas cycle (5), until complete biotechnological conversion of carbon-dioxide takes place in a methane-oxygen-mixture and/or methane. The input gas stays so long in the gas cycle, until so much of gaseous nutrients are used through plant cells contained in the fluid phase. The gas led in the gas cycle is shielded completely by contact with ambient air and/or other unwanted gas components. The input gas is cleaned before introducing into the photo-bioreactor. A sterile filter is arranged at an inlet and an outlet of the closed reactor. Pure carbon dioxide or a gas mixture containing carbon dioxide is supplied into an opened photo-bioreactor, and by photosynthesis in the algae biomass, the converted surplus gas is delivered into the environment. The formed biomass is supplied directly to a fermentation gas reactor, is led into the gas-tightly closed photo bioreactor and is led into the closed gas cycle. Additional components are supplied to the gas cycle based on the requirement. The input gas is supplied to the gas circulation under avoidance of the gas cleaning (3). The gas led in the gas cycle of the closed bioreactor delivers its usable carbon portions almost completely to the liquid reactor phase. The gas components produced by the cells of the fluid phase almost completely exhausted via the closed gas cycle as well as the formed biomass is again supplied into the fermentation gas reactor. The formed gas mixture directly energetically is used or is supplied to an oxygen separation. After the oxygen separation a high-quality methane gas is carried out from the reactor system and is supplied to various use. The formed biomass is supplied to a separate utilization. An additional biomass is supplied to the fermentation gas reactor. The gas supply is regulated by sensor-actuated valves (1) and is controlled by a measuring- and a control system. The material additions and the material removal from the reactor, are carried out continuously or discontinuously. An independent claim is included for a photo-bioreactor for utilization of gaseous carbon sources for the production of algae biomass.
