摘要

This report contains physical data of gases and gaseous mixtures.nAt the present state of the art, He, N2 and CO2 are considered feasible as working media in nuclear power plants. Particularly for a NAP-plant, Helium seems to be the best suited gas with respect to radiation stability and resulting plant size. A great advantage are the excellent heat transfer properties of Helium. They are of prime importance for the size of the heat transfer equipment, which naturally should be kept as small as possible for use in an aircraft.nIn the type of cycles under consideration, gaseous mixtures might also be used as working media.nTable 1 shows a comparison of the gases mentioned above with respect to the critical properties which limit their use in a nuclear power plant.
