An actual value to be adjusted for a smaller load value (SLV) in a turbine's cross section of flow in an international combustion engine (10) is adjusted with a time-lag to a target value(TVal), which is preset for an SLV under stationary conditions (SC). Adjustment to the TVal to be preset under SC is made by setting a range of TVals so as to lead to the TVal to be preset under SC. An independent claim is also included for a control device for adjusting an actual value in a turbo-supercharger on an internal combustion engine (ICE) in a motor vehicle during the ICE's change in load from a greater to a smaller load.
