Method for diagnosing a blockage in impulse lines (18, 20) comprises fitting an algebraic function (44) to a measuring signal (24) or a representation of the measuring signal and determining a value of a parameter as characteristic value (32) in relation to at least one section of the algebraic function. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Pressure measuring transformer; (2) Computer program with a code for implementing the above method; and (3) Computer program product containing the above computer program. Preferred Features: A statistical size of a parameter distribution of the algebraic function is determined as the parameter in relation to the algebraic function.
