The forceps (1) has a base part (2) with a tube shank (3) fastened to it. The forceps has a double-armed lever (11a,11b) supported at the base part around a fixed axis of rotation (10a,10b), whose longer lever arm (12a,12b) is formed as handle. The slider (8), which is in the base part against the effect of a restoring force, is coupled by a coupling element (9) proceeding in the tube shank, with working end of the tube shank. A connecting arm (14a,14b) is connected on the one hand with the slider and on the other hand with the shorter lever arm (13a,13b) of the double-armed lever. An independent claim is also included for a clip-locating forceps with the tube shank has at working end two deviating limbs.
