The ground sill has a tie body (1) which is attached on a lower body introduced in the building, and the tie body accommodates a part of a sealing arrangement (3), has a drainage unit for the sealing arrangement. A drainage opening (11) is arranged in the tie body for the part of the sealing arrangement arranged there so that entering water or moisture is lead into a surge chamber (21) provided in an underbody (2).
