The method involves seizing keywords regarding a medical issue (F) and automatic decoding of the seized keywords into search criteria (K) under access to a rule database (RDB). Medical data records are searched in the data base (DB) on the basis of search criteria. The search results (E) are seized, and send in a configurable state to a selectable presentation entity for presentation, by which the data base is analyzed e.g. by a statistical evaluation. The analysis rules are derived and are stored in the rule database on the basis of statistical evaluation. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a medical information system or a sanitary telematics system has a data base (2) a device for search of medical data records in a hospital information system or in a sanitary telematics system has a data base for the storage of medical data records.
